Known the world over for one thing and one thing only, rugby; Twickenham boasts the stadium at the very heart of the English game. Right, so we get that this might not be the most luxurious establishment you’ll ever stay in. But we at TravelMag want to stay conscious of all budgets, especially when it comes to a stay in London, when near everything seems to hover near the three figure mark. It may not have the sheen of some of the other options on our list, but at these prices, we can’t see too many people complaining.

At the other end of the spectrum to Blessed House, and we know that this is supposed to be a budget hotel guide, but given the general price of London accommodation, we figure, why not spend that little bit extra and get some real luxury for your buck. The Twickenham Marriott is just that, located literally in the South Stand of Twickenham rugby stadium, for fans of the game it’s an absolute must. There’s a spa and health club onsite, plus all your standard amenities, and some rooms even look directly out onto the rugby pitch itself.
Quinns Hotel

Actually just over the bridge from Twickenham, in stylish Richmond, this fine guest house located within a beautiful terraced Georgian-style building, simply oozes the charm of South West London. It’s a great base for both a holiday in the suburbs and the centre of town. There’s free WiFi in public areas, TVs in all the rooms, and a 24-hour reception, all at great value prices.
The Alexander Pope Hotel

A stylish, comfortable, and modern establishment, located over a traditional pub, so-named for the British satirist, who used to live in this area three centuries ago. The hotel boasts beautiful views out over the Thames, is just a short walk from Twickenham town centre and the rugby stadium, and linked by public transport to the historic Hampton Court Palace, also in the nearby area. Mod-cons like WiFi and TVs, of course, come as standard.
