The Rome clubs of Lazio and Roma are two of Europe’s most historic footballing institutions, and conveniently for anyone wanting to watch them in the flesh, they both play at the same historic venue.

Located within the Foro Italico sports complex, north of the city centre, the Stadio Olimpico boasts a capacity of 72,698, and is one of Europe’s last remaining traditional football arenas. But beyond the bricks and mortar, it is the passion and fervour of the Roma and Lazio fans that helps create a truly remarkable match-day atmosphere. If you’re coming to the Italian capital and would like to watch a game featuring one or both clubs during your visit, we’ve done some research and picked out some of the best options for buying tickets online.

Ticketgum are currently our favourite choice for purchasing Stadio Olimpico tickets over the internet. When we searched for upcoming games during the current season, we found excellent availability, with prices starting at around €40 for a game between Lazio and Monza in late September. However, for more prestigious fixtures, such as against Juventus or Inter Milan, or indeed the famous Rome derby, prices will almost always be significantly higher.
Another advantage of buying through Ticketgum is that rather than acting as a middle man, they actually own the tickets that they sell, so there’s no risk of fakes. Availability tends to be very good, and when we searched we found tickets on offer for every approaching game at the Stadio Olimpico, with prices as low as €29 for less prestigious fixtures such as Lazio vs Torino in late September. Additional fees for service, delivery and VAT work out at around £35 per ticket, and there’s a slider option that lets you view these extra costs before you book. Viagogo are a highly reputable ticket resale and exchange platform and our top choice for hospitality tickets at Stadio Olimpico. These packages they offer include perks such as food and drinks, lounge access, and padded seats to watch games from – with seats alongside each other so you can enjoy the action with people you know. For Roma and Lazio games, there are several hospitality packages, with prices varying depending on the prestige of the game. You can look for availability with the easy-to-use VIP filter on the website. During our search for the upcoming season, we found hospitality packages starting at around €400 per person for matches against lower profile opposition. Tickets can be issued electronically to be stored on your phone or printed, so you don’t need to worry about them getting lost in transit. Buyers should also be aware that you can expect to pay up to 30% of the total price in additional fees.
