For anyone flying into Quito who wants to hire a car directly at the airport, there are several car rental companies situated at the terminal that we’d be happy to recommend.
Those keen to explore some of the areas of interest surrounding the Ecuadorian capital, may well be attracted by the idea of renting their own car, which can offer flexibility and freedom that public transports simply can’t match The city’s main international airport is home to a large number of car rental agencies whose offices are based in the terminal building itself. We’ve selected two of the best below.
Budget
A well-known name in the car rentals sector, Budget are one of our two picks for hiring a car at Quito International Airport. When we searched for available cars, we found several Chevrolets offered across different categories and price points, with everything from estates to sedans to pick-up trucks on offer, with prices starting at an incredibly reasonable $145 per week. Budget’s offices at the airport are open daily, but with reduced hours from Mondays to Wednesdays. The car lot where Budget’s vehicles are kept is also only a short walk from the terminal.
For the best rates, we recommend booking at Rentalcars.com
Localiza
If you’re happy to book through a local provider, Localiza come with a strong reputation for their fleet of cars and customer service. At Quito Airport, they had a wide range of Kia models available during our online search, including medium-sized cars, larger cars and SUVs, with prices starting at around $387 per week for a 5-door Kia Soluto. Localiza’s airport office is open 7am-7pm Monday to Friday, with reduced hours on weekends.
