With its limited public transport system and sprawling tourist attractions beyond the city borders, many of those who come to Las Vegas choose to hire a car during their stay. One of the most ubiquitous rental companies in LA is Budget, which has become one of the world’s biggest car hire companies since launching back in 1958. So what makes Budget’s services stand out from the crowd, and why should Vegas visitors pick them for their car hire needs? Read on to get the full low-down.
Locations & Opening Hours
Budget have a total of seven car rental offices spread across the length and breadth of Las Vegas, from the city’s suburbs to the centre. Among them are facilities at McCarran International Airport – the main airport serving LA – as well as one located just off the main strip on Las Vegas Boulevard, and another in the western neighbourhood of Peccole Ranch.
Opening times at Budget’s Las Vegas offices vary depending on location. While none of them are open 24/7, you can still drop off your hire car out of hours if you can’t make it during office hours. However, if you choose to do so, it’s srecommended that you take photos of the vehicle inside and out once it’s parked at the drop-off point, in case it incurrs any damage once it’s been left unattended.

Availability of cars
When we searched for car availability at each Las Vegas Budget location, we found a wide range of options, from economy to SUVs to luxury. At McCarran Airport, for example, a total of 22 cars were on offer, including six small-to-mid sized vehicles with rates starting at around $278 for a week’s rental. There was a similar story at other Budget facilities too, with six economy cars available on Las Vegas Boulevard starting at $207 per week, and eight in downtown South from $164 per week.

One of the most reassuring aspects of hiring a car through Budget is how well reviewed they are online. When we looked across customer review websites we found consistently good feedback, on everything from the cleanliness of their cars, to their transparent fuel policy, to the speed and efficiency of their customer service. One of the most prominent comments was on the speed of both the car pick-up and drop-off process. With regard to customer service, we noticed that staff score particularly highly on metrics such as ‘helpfulness’ and ‘trustworthiness’.
