The survey compared rates at all luxury hotels in Hawaii based on the minimum price a couple will have to spend for an overnight stay during the period February 1 to March 31, 2023. Other than around Christmas and New Year, hotel rates in Hawaii tend to be at their highest during these two months.

With a minimum rate of $2,632 per night, Espacio the Jewel of Waikiki came out as the priciest hotel. Located on the south shore of Honolulu, just seconds from the golden sands of Waikiki Beach, one of Hawaii’s most popular surf beaches, the hotel features nine luxurious suites – each occupying an entire floor. The spacious multi-room suites offer an expansive living area, a fully equipped chef’s kitchen, and a private balcony with a Jacuzzi. Hotel amenities include butler service, a gourmet French-Japanese restaurant, a rooftop sun deck with an infinity swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art spa.

The second most expensive hotel, according to the survey, was Timbers Kauai, where a couple will have to spend at least $2,401 per night. Situated in the town of Lihu on the island of Kauaʻi, the oceanfront resort is one of the newer additions to Hawaii’s accommodation scene. Kalapaki Beach is a stone’s throw away, while guests can make use of on-site amenities including a restaurant, a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. There’s also 24-hour front desk, a free shuttle to other parts of the island, and a concierge service to help plan tours and excursions.

The podium is completed by Four Seasons Resort Lanai, where a couple can expect to pay around $2,233 per night. Positioned on the island of Lanai, the resort features several upscale dining options, two swimming pools with ocean views, a spa, a golf course, three tennis courts, and an observatory to gaze up at the stars. As for the guest  rooms and suites, each is styled in elegant dark wood furnishings and cream coloured decor, and comes with a private terrace, bathrobes and tea/coffee-making facilities.

Meanwhile, another Four Seasons property is the priciest hotel on the “Big Island” of Hawaii, with rates of $1,998 making it the fourth most expensive hotel across the sun-kissed Pacific Ocean state. Finally, on the island of Maui, the priciest property came out as Montage Kapalua Bay at $1,872 per night.
