All types of RVs are welcome at the area’s largest resorts, and most are welcome at places like Catalina State Park. Vehicles come in multiple sizes and styles, from 2-person trailers to much more spacious vehicles that can sleep larger groups. One big advantage of booking an RV through a company like Outdoorsy is the cheaper deals over normal rental agencies. When we searched for RVs in Tucson, we found numerous options available for pick-up across the area. Among them was a spacious yet budget friendly 32” 2017 Thor Motor Coach Chateau. The Chateau sleeps 9 and runs $169 plus fees per night. For a small RV rental, a 2021 Winnebago Solis allows added headroom with a pop-up roof. The low-mileage Solis is family friendly and sleeps 4 with a daily price of $230 plus fees. Some owners will deliver for a fee and most vehicles require added insurance available in three coverage tiers.
RVshare
RVshare is another rental service where owners can list their RVs and renters can search from locations throughout the US. The website offers a variety of tips, helpful articles, and destination guides specifically for travel by recreational vehicle. When we searched for RVs in Tucson, the results turned up many options available for pick-up across the area.
For those who want to travel in luxury, the 43 ft. Class A Winnebago Tour 42QD is the answer. Keep in mind this big rig nicknamed “The Bus” gets 8 mpg but offers a smooth ride and comfort living for $450 per night plus taxes and fees. The new camper family will enjoy the convenience of a travel trailer and a 2020 Coachman allows vacationers the use of their vehicle for off campground excursions. This travel trailer rents for $138 per night. This particular find is redecorated by creative owners and sleeps 3.
Roadrunner RV Rentals
Roadrunner RV Rentals specializes in travel trailer rentals and will deliver vehicles to popular Tucson locations like Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson Trap & Skeet, and Catalina State Park. The local company promises to never raise the amount a customer pays with hidden fees or charges. Renters for any trailer must provide roadside assistance if towing outside of the local area, and tow vehicle liability insurance must extend to the trailer. Both renter and driver must be over the age of 25. The company’s Eclipse 5th wheel trailer requires renters to have an appropriate vehicle for towing, sleeps 8, and comes with multiple slide outs for expanded interior space. The sleek interior offers plenty of seating and table space. The unit comes with an interior kitchen, an overhead bunk bed, and a spacious curved shower. The daily rate is $150. Solo campers or couples will enjoy the flexibility and amenities on the Heartland MPG 183. Equipped with a fold-down queen sleeping area and a twin bunk bed, the Heartland can actually sleep 4, but with only 18 ft. of living space. Fitting well into small campsites, this unit packs modern amenities like a 26” LCD TV, microwave and stove, and an HVAC system. The daily rate is $85.
