New York City caters for its visitors with a huge choice of places to stay – with new properties routinely popping up across its five boroughs. Over the past year, the city has once again seen a large number of additions to its hotel landscape, most of which are on the higher end of the budget spectrum. We’ve created a rundown of the latest and most notable contributions to the Big Apple’s accommodation sector below.

Guest rooms are designed in modern, chic and minimalist style and are equipped with a flat-screen TV, a desk and a private bathroom. Elsewhere in the hotel, thoughtfully designed interiors are complemented by attentive staff and buffet breakfasts served daily. Fifth Avenue Hotel

Housed in an impressive 19th-century mansion building in New York’s fashionable NoMad district, Fifth Avenue Hotel’s aesthetic is the culmination of designer Martin Brudnizki’s distinctive taste and touch. His visual stamp is instantly recognised as you enter the vaulted lobby decorated in ornate panels and walk down corridors bedecked with vivid wallpaper featuring oversized flora and fauna. Guest rooms are no less striking, complete with painted screens, pagoda-style lamps and an assemblage of art.
