The world-famous tower in the French capital’s 7th arrondissement has a total of three floors that can be visited by members of the public. While many believe the best views are from the first and second floors, it’s no surprise that many opt to head to the summit to secure those sought-after bragging rights with friends back home. There are several ticket options for Eiffel Tower summit access and we’ve picked out three of the best below.

Eiffel Tower Entry Ticket with Optional Summit Access

These standard entry tickets allow you to reach the first and second floors, with the option to continue on to the summit. After taking the glass-walled elevator up to the floor of your choosing, you can spend as much time as you like walking around the observation decks, soaking up the views and taking plenty of photos along the way. On the first floor, you can feel the thrill of walking on the glass floor with the city beneath your feet. At the summit, there’s the restored office of the tower’s architect, Gustave Eiffel, a 1:50 scale model of the tower from 1889 and a champagne bar. From $24 per person.

While visiting the Eiffel Tower independently gives you maximum freedom, there’s no substitute for doing so in the company of an expert guide. This 2-3 hour group tour begins directly outside the monument where you and your fellow tour guests will receive an introduction to the tower and its fascinating history. Next, you’ll ascend directly to the 2nd floor using the elevator where you’ll disembark for a leisurely look around the observation deck. All the while, your guide will be on hand to answer questions and provide insights on the landmark. In your own time, you can then make the ascent to the summit whenever you wish to do so. From $106 per person.

You can also visit the Eiffel Tower as part of a combo package that includes at least one other attraction or guided tour. The benefit of this is that it works out cheaper than paying for both individually. This pre-reserved ticket combines Summit Floor access complete with host service up to the second floor with a one-hour cruise on the Seine River with flexible departure times. During the cruise, you’ll be able to listen to an audio guide that tells you all about the numerous riverside attractions that you pass along the way. From $130 per person.
