Located in northwest Portugal, Porto may lack the buzzing beach vibes of Lisbon, but has plenty to compensate when it comes to things to see and do. It also offers a diverse choice of accommodation options, including a wide choice of short-term rental properties that are available for anything from fleeting mini-breaks to stays of several months. We’ve selected three of the best online resources for finding a Porto short-term or monthly rental below.
Homelike
The Homelike provide short-term rentals for one month or longer, and allow flexible move-in and move-out dates for maximum convenience. For added expediency, you confirm your booking without requiring the homeowner’s approval, and you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before your move-in date. In contrast with many of their competitors, there are also no hidden fees to pay, and the rental price quoted includes all utility bills. You can also search specifically for properties that don’t require a deposit. When we looked at properties to rent in Porto, we found almost 240 available, with prices starting at €825 per month for a 1-bedroom studio apartment in Sé, the city’s oldest district.
HomeToGo
Another popular choice for those seeking rentals of one to two weeks, HometoGo have become well-established since launching in 2014 with the aim of making desirable homes more accessible through competitive pricing. Their AI-powered tech connects travellers with property owners through local apps and websites across multiple countries all over the world. In Paris, they offer around 160 properties, with prices as low as €51 per night for a one-bedroom house in the chic district of Porte-Dauphine. They also offer regular last-minute deals that can see regular rates reduced by up to 75%.
SpotaHome
A well-established name in the short-term and monthly rentals sector, Spotahome list almost 2,000 apartments in and around Porto, with a particularly large choice of flat shares and student homes among them. Based on our searches, rates start at €290 per month for a room in a shared five-bedroom apartment situated a five-minute walk from Porto’s downtown district. It’s worth noting that rates on Spotahome can drop by as much as 7% for rental periods of 6 months and beyond. However, prospective renters should also bear in mind that the company lump on admin fees to the advertised rate, so it’s advised to consider these before committing.
