The multiple Grammy Award-winning icon gained global fame in the 1970s as the frontman, principal songwriter and bassist for new wave band the Police. But after the band split in 1986, Sting went from strength to strength, launching a solo career that has since included elements of rock, jazz, reggae, classical, new-age, and worldbeat in his music. Today he continues to perform across the world, and for the remainder of 2024 is set to travel the length and breadth of the United States, kicking off in Detroit and ending in Los Angeles in November.
