Opened in 2001 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Nobel Prize, the Nobel Prize Museum in Stockholm has grown to become a major tourist attraction in the Swedish capital.
Housed in the old Stock Exchange Building on the north side of Stortorget Square, the heart of Stockholm from medieval times, visitors to the museum can explore a vast collection of artefacts and videos that tell the fascinating story of the many eminent figures who have all contributed to the pursuit of global peace since the turn of the 20th century. Tickets
Entry tickets to the Nobel Prize Museum start at around $13.50 for adults, with children aged up to 18 going free. Tickets include admission to the entire museum and both its permanent and temporary exhibitions. Opening hours for the attraction vary depending on the time of year, opening between 10am and 11am on Tuesday to Sunday and closing between 5pm and 7pm on the same days. The museum is closed throughout the year on Mondays. For visitors with bags or luggage, there are a limited number of small lockers as well as lockable coat hangers available in an unsupervised cloakroom.

Tours
Included in standard admission tickets, the Nobel Prize Museum also offers daily guided tours that offer an insightful introduction to the museum and its exhibitions delivered by an expert guide. The English language tours run three times a day as well as an additional evening tour on Friday evenings. Tours run for about 30 minutes and visitors should sign up for their desired slot at the museum entrance. In addition to the daily tours, the museum also offers private tours for individuals and groups of up to 25, with prices starting at $183.50 per adult. Private tour guests can also include a glass of cava and snacks in the on-site bistro for an additional $13.50.
