Step forward South Padre Island Farmers’ Market, an open-air bazaar that draws large crowds every Sunday when it brims with vendors selling their locally-sourced wares. Everything from seasonal fruit and veg, to ready-to-eat snacks, to cheeses, herbs, and specialty vegan treats are on offer here, offering visitors the chance to pick up some fresh produce or to simply soak up the bustling atmosphere.

Among the many things to do on the island, South Padre is a hugely popular jumping-off point for dolphin-watching excursions.
