Astor is just minutes away from Victoria station in the much more peaceful area of Pimlico. There is a good range of options available here, from 8 bed dorms to single and double private rooms. Astor Victoria Hostel has safes and hairdryers available as part of the price and there is a breakfast available for a very small additional fee. While there’s not a great deal to do in the immediate vicinity of the hostel, Vauxhall across the Thames River, is well known for its night clubs.

Travel Joy is one of an increasing number of hostels in London that is set above a pub. The King William IV pub and restaurant is on a leafy street a minute from the River Thames. Thanks to this facility, there is always somewhere to hang out and meet locals or other travellers. Bakers Hotel is a good combination of budget and modernity. The rooms have fresh linen and it does not feel quite as worn as some of the other budget hotels in London. A continental breakfast is included in the price. Half of the rooms are en-suite, while the rest share common bathrooms located on each floor of the property. Each room has a small flatscreen TV. Free wifi is only available in the public areas of the hotel.
