Located on the Persian Gulf coast in the east of Qatar, Doha’s sparkling skyline includes a wide number of upscale hotels – many having been added in the build-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. And while some of them are not always of the 5-star standard that is seen in Europe, plenty of them do fit that billing. If you’re seeking a luxury Doha hotel, we’ve compared the best of them below, and ordered them by their distance from the city centre from nearest to furthest away.
Alwadi Hotel Doha – MGallery
A haven of tranquility in the heart of Doha’s bustling commercial centre, this hotel oozes sophistication and elegance. Located 10 minutes inland, west of the main city hubbub, the design hotel is housed within a distinctive torch-shaped building and features a revolving restaurant with panoramic views across the city, plus an infinity pool, a health club, a beauty parlour, and free private parking. Spacious and modern guest rooms are equipped with a mood light system with 12 different colours, together with a minibar and private bathroom. The hotel is connected by a walkway to Villaggio, Doha’s biggest shopping mall.
