There are a handful of car rental agencies offering their services at Puerto Plata airport, some of which are located in the airport terminal building and others at the rental car center. However, while all of these agencies are highly reputable, picking the right one for your needs requires you to do some research on prices and types of car. National

If you’re happy to book through a regional provider, Mex come with a strong reputation for their fleet of cars and customer service. At Puerto Plata Airport, they had some enticing deals available during our online search, including a 4-seater Hyundai i10 on offer for $388 per week. If you have the budget for something bigger and more spacious, there was also a 7-seater Kia Sorento available for $930 per week. Mex’s offices can be found directly in the airport terminal are open 8am to 5pm Monday through to Sunday.
