Fort Worth Airport: Thrifty & Alamo
For those travelling to Dallas via Fort Worth Airport, there’s a 24-hour Rental Car Center featuring 12 companies located near the south entrance of the airport. Shuttle buses take passengers from arrivals to the rental car centre every 10-15 minutes. For the best value agencies here, we’ve picked out Thrifty and Alamo, with both offering a wide number of mid-range cars at rates that won’t break the bank. When we searched, we found a Volkswagen Jetta available for $287 per week, while Alamo’s best deal was a Mitsubishi Mirage for $20 per week.
Love Field Airport: Dollar & Thrifty
Dallas’s second airport is Love Field Airport and numerous rental car companies operate here. Each has a counter in the hallway leading to baggage claim, as well as shuttles that pick up and drop off customers on the transportation lower level. Our top picks at Love Field are Dollar and Thrifty. The former offer an impressive number of cheap deals, with standouts including a Chevrolet Spark for $280 per week. Thrifty, meanwhile, has a Ford Fiesta for $271 per week.
Downtown Dallas: Budget
Many visitors to Dallas will want to be based around the city’s buzzing downtown district and on Commerce Street you’ll find Budget rental agency. Here you can pick up a Ford Fiesta for $319 per week, although for just a few dollars more you may well want to opt for the Fiesta’s bigger brother, the Ford Focus. For something even larger, Budget also offer a Hyundai Elantra for a reasonable $336 per week.
