If you need corporate housing in Chicago, there are a wide number of companies that do everything from sourcing the right property for you through to full management services.
For people relocating to new cities for work but haven’t yet sorted out your permanent accommodation needs, corporate apartments are a popular alternative to an extended stay in a hotel. In Chicago, there are several companies that cater to these very needs, providing new arrivals in a city with a comfortable ‘home from home’ experience until their requirements extend beyond the short-term. Below are three of the best resources for finding corporate housing in Chicago.
Blueground
Blueground cater to those seeking fully-furnished apartments and studios with flexible leases for stays of 30 days or more. Their listings include everything from studios to one and two-bed apartments. Stays of more than a month can lead to impressive savings, as the longer your booking, the lower the nightly rate falls. During our search for Chicago apartments, we found rates starting from $1750 per month for a studio in Lincoln Park. Overall, the company lists a huge choice of over 700 available apartments in Chicago, dotted in and around some of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods. However, the rental price initially shown alongside listings doesn’t include utilities, insurance or other fees, which can add up to $800 a month or more. Booking is simple and intuitive, and there’s also a 24-hour support service accessed via a guest app. You can also save on your total by paying upfront.
Landing
Landing are a members-only service that offer apartment rentals for anything from a month up to a year. They have fully-furnished properties in cities all over the US, equipped with everything from bed comforters to wall art. Leases are flexible, with no long-term commitment needed, and if you want to relocate after a while you can move into another Landing apartment with no extra charges incurred, with just two weeks notice. You can also do everything via a dedicated Landing app, from contacting the member experience team to scheduling maintenance and house cleaning. In Chicago, Landing currently have 101 furnished properties available, with monthly rentals starting at around $3,840 for a one-bed apartment in Chicago’s western suburb of Naperville. It’s worth noting that a $199 annual membership fee is required to make bookings with Landing and all members must undergo a background check.
June
One of the more recent additions to the home rentals digital sector, June were founded in 2017 with the aim of simplifying the traditional housing experience for today’s generation of renters. They have rapidly acquired a strong reputation in the mid- to long-term rentals sector, working with owners of a range of property types including studios, multi-bedroom homes, multiple units, and entire buildings. Clients can opt to rent furnished or unfurnished and the company also offers a range of add-on services, as well as a dedicated 24/7 support team. In Chicago, they currently have 16 apartments listed, with rates starting at $2,100 per month for a 2-bedroom property in the desirable neighbourhood of Roscoe Village, close to Lincoln Park in Chicago’s northern suburbs. However, it should be noted that renting through June is only allowed for members who have successfully received “resident” status by submitting various documents.
