Rooms are designed for a good night’s sleep with sound-proofing, blackout curtains and excellent beds. A complimentary continental breakfast is available, and the hotel is just a short walk from all local amenities, tourist attractions and the sights and sounds of London’s famous East End.

A no-nonsense three-star option close to a number of intriguing attractions, including the Whitechapel Art Gallery and Brick Lane, home to some of the most exciting cuisine in London. The nearby Aldgate East station provides easy access to one of London’s most popular shopping centres, Westfield. Free wi-fi is included, with a full breakfast service available for an additional fee.

As the name suggests, this hotel is mere metres from Tower Bridge itself. The hotel’s bar is especially impressive and offers superb views of the bridge and the River Thames, as well as nearby St Katherine’s Dock. Free wi-fi is available, but with so many excellent tourist attractions in the immediate vicinity, such as the Tower of London and the famous warship HMS Belfast, you’re unlikely to make much use of it.

For those with a little more to spend, the Cheval Three Quays is an excellent five-star option that will not break the bank. The hotel sits beside the Tower of London, allowing visitors to soak up the centuries of history and tales of Kings and Queens who have presided over the great fortress. HMS Belfast sits directly across the water, with the Shard skyscraper dominating the south London skyline. And of course, the hotel’s facilities are superb, including free Wi-Fi and an on-site fitness center.
