Banff, 126 km west of Calgary, is one of the adventure capitals of the world. The town in Banff National Park is the gateway to 6,641 square kilometres of unparalleled mountain scenery, dazzling glaciers, tranquil lakeshores, river rapids, and a few bears, nestled in the heart of the magnificent Canadian Rockies. One of must-see destinations from Banff is Lake Louise, the crown jewel of the area, flanked by giant mountains and glaciers. Here is a comparison of Lake Louise Tours from Banff:

Sunrise at Moraine Lake & Lake Louise

If you like lakes and getting up really early, this is the tour for you. The main aim of this tour is to catch the beautiful, glacially-fed Moraine Lake as well as Lake Louise before the bus loads of chattering tourists arrive. The seven-hour tour heads fist to Moraine Lake  to witness the sunrise over one of the areas most beautiful natural wonders, with the glaciers above the Valley of the Ten Peaks slowly illuminating in the background. Then it’s straight on to Lake Louise after breakfast, before the crowds, with a choice of relaxing by the lake shore, exploring the trails, or paddling across its neon blue waters in a canoe rental with front-of-the-line access. The only downside is the price – for a day trip it’s a lot of dollar. From €196.40.

As well as Lake Minnewanka and Lake Louise, this tour takes in some of the Icefields Parkway, with views of glaciers, massive peaks and lakes, and the occasional grizzly bear, before heading to Bow Lake, one of the other impressive lakes in the Canadian Rockies. There’s also the chance to see the hulking Crowfoot Glacier, surrounded by lush forest, and the stunning Peyto Lake.
