Las Vegas Overnight Trip with Hoover Dam Tour
For anyone who doesn’t have a spare week on their LA trip, this tour is a great option. It is just enough to hit Vegas and get out the next morning before anyone reminds you of your shenanigans the night before. Honestly, anyone arriving in Vegas misses a trick – this tour shows that the best way to arrive is through the desert and Death Valley, Fear and Loathing style, with Sin City slowly looming up in front of you. In the evening there will be a tour of the strip to see the world’s most bling hotels, and the rest of the evening is there to use or misuse as you please. The next morning it’s off to the Hoover Dam and take some pics that you can actually show to relatives back home. For most people this trip will be all you’ll need – it’s a great combo of two of the big bucket list sites and you’re back in time for dinner in LA. From €298.28.

4-Day Las Vegas & the Western Deserts Tour from Los Angeles
If you are a canyons and deserts kind of person, this is the tour to choose. The first day hits Las Vegas, with an evening tour of the strip and free reign to see shows or hit the casinos. The next day things become a little bit more mellow – probably welcome if the drinks have been flowing – with a trip to the Grand Canyon, through the desert and Navajo Indian reservation, on to Antelope Canyon, with its spectacular dunes created by the wind, water and sand. Then it’s on to Bryce Canyon, home to rock and sand sculptures honed over thousands of years of rain wind and sunshine, and on to Utah’s Zion Park, which sits at the junction of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and Mojave Desert regions. It’s a heady mix, seeing what man can build in a desert, only to be confronted with the very best natural wonders of the USA – it somehow works as a great combination. From € 724.41.

5-Day Wild West Tour From Los Angeles
It’s billed as the Wild West Tour but the only cowboys you might see are those selling overpriced souvenirs. The name is a bit misleading then – this is just a well-stacked tour taking in Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam. There’s a few extras thrown in too, such as a trip to Solvang, a quaint Danish community to browse the local shops, and the farmlands of the Joaquin Valley and El Capitan, Bridal-Veil Falls, and Half Dome visited during the summer route. It might not be as all encompassing as the full week tour but for a real taste of America’s West it takes some beating, even if Clint Eastwood is nowhere in sight. From € 766.35.
