One of the world’s most iconic destinations, it’s little surprise that Las Vegas caters to its huge number of visitors with a wide range of accommodation options. Among them are numerous desirable hotels that have opened their doors only over the past year or so – with more slated to be built in the near future, too. We’ve highlighted 5 of the best and newest hotel openings in Vegas below.

Crockfords Las Vegas

Back in July 2024, Resorts World, the most expensive resort property ever developed in Las Vegas, saw the arrival of its second hotel. Crockfords, another Hilton hotel to which a third would soon be added (see below), opened its doors to great fanfare, with an impressive line-up of amenities awaiting its inaugural guests, including an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar. Add to that the vast casino, several restaurants and a theatre also found at Resorts World and you have quite the package. Back at the hotel, guest rooms are as big and bold as you’d expect of an upscale Vegas hotel, and each comes with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom to augment the lavish furnishings and décor. Visitors arriving in their own transport can also make use of free private parking and there’s also 24-hour front desk. The Las Vegas strip is a short walk away.

Fontainebleau

Just a couple of months after the above opening, the curtain went up on Fontainebleau, a sumptuous, centrally-located, 5-star hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard featuring its own casino, a restaurant and bar, and a choice of three adjoined swimming pools surrounded by palm trees, sun-loungers and cabanas. Other notable on-site amenities include an ATM, private parking, room service and 24-hour front desk, and an à la carte breakfast is also served daily. Each of the stylishly designed guest rooms is well-appointed too, coming with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom and contemporary wall art that adds colour and character. Many of the famous attractions of the strip are a few minute’s drive away.

Another July 2024 addition to Vegas’s high-end accommodation scene,  Amalz Suites Collection, set a block from the strip, is part of the MGM Signature all-suite hotel that is spread across three high-rise towers and make up the MGM Grand resort. Ideal for those keen for a mix of hotel amenities and home-from-home comforts and conveniences, each suite comes with a kitchenette and entertainment centre, plus luxurious granite bathrooms and whirlpool tubs. Some upgraded suites also feature private balconies with city views and more extensive kitchen set-ups. Durango Casino & Resort

A day-long celebration and a nighttime fireworks display marked the opening of Durango Casino & Resort at the tail-end of 2023. Located about 10 miles from the strip to attract locals as well as the tourist masses, the 15-storey hotel was designed as a contemporary desert oasis that combines a mid-century modern aesthetic with quintessential Vegas glitz. Upon entry, guests are met by 15-foot ceilings and a striking sculpture of polished brass. Venture farther inside its confines and they discover a huge casino, a sportsbook with six screens showing live sport and an impressive circular bar, a choice of several restaurants, a food hall, a speakeasy, an outdoor pool with private cabanas, oversized daybeds and pool chairs, a gymnasium. As for the 209 guest rooms and suites, they are no less impressive, featuring hand-carved stone, wood, and warm metal accents, and complete with plenty of mod cons.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas

Housed in a contemporary building a mile from the strip., this trendy hotel opened its doors in September 2023 and quickly earned rave reviews. The choice of dining gained particular attention, with everything from British, Mexican and Japanese cuisine to a steakhouse, pizzeria and casual eatery serving Thai street food-inspired dishes to pick from. But the amenities don’t stop there. The hotel also features a sports bar, an outdoor pool, a spa and a gym, while the convenience of guests with cars is catered for by valet parking. The guest rooms lack nothing in fashion-forward style, either, each boasting ultra-modern décor and design flourishes, along with state-of-the-art appliances and a large and modern private bathroom. Upgraded rooms and suite also have living areas and views of the strip.

Adding to the two aforementioned Hilton hotels at Resorts World, situated at the northern end of the strip, Conrad Las Vegas made it three in September 2024. The 5-star hotel is equipped with an outdoor swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar, while guest rooms feature a flat-screen TV, a desk and a private bathroom. Each morning, guests can enjoy a hearty à la carte breakfast to kick off their day. Otonomus Hotel

While all of the above properties have already opened, there are several edging closer to their debut over the coming months. Among them is Otonomus, a new AI-powered hospitality concept expected to open in February 2025. Spread over 13 acres about three miles west of the strip, the complex’s rooms will have interconnecting doors throughout each floor so that guests can book just one room or up to a six-bedroom penthouse. The AI algorithm will unlock or lock the interconnecting doors as needed to create the configuration guests asked for once they check in. What’s more, a mobile app that guests download to access their room will also allow the AI to understand their preferences, create a special guest experience for them and even make recommendations for events and activities they may enjoy. Further Otonomus properties are also planned for the US and Mexico.
