Situated around 6 miles south of downtown Santa Ana, and surrounded by the cities of Irvine, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa, John Wayne Airport is the sole commercial airport in Orange County. Originally named Orange County Airport, it was renamed in 1979 in honor of the iconic Hollywood actor John Wayne, who lived in neighboring Newport Beach and died that year.
Official SNA parking is available on-site for those seeking maximum convenience, but for a cheaper option there are also several off-airport facilities that are available for both short and long term parking.
