Now in his early 80s, former Beatle Paul McCartney has forged a hugely successful solo career and continues to attract large crowds wherever he performs.
The English singer-songwriter gained global fame in the 1960s as part of the iconic band from Liverpool. But after the band split, McCartney went from strength to strength, resulting in his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. Today, even in his eighth decade, he continues to perform across the world, currently selling out arenas as far as South America with his Got Back Tour. If you’d like to attend a Paul McCartney concert over the coming months, but tickets are sold out for your preferred dates, then we’ve picked out two great online resources offering resale tickets.
Viagogo
A peer-to-peer ticket resale and exchange platform, Viagogo have tickets available for all scheduled Paul McCartney concerts for the remainder of 2024. During our search, we found prices starting at around $70 for a single ticket for a date in Sao Paulo in October. However, tickets for dates later down the line were significantly steeper – often more than double. For concert-goers arriving in their own car, there’s a ‘parking’ tab next to the ‘tickets’ tab that lets you purchase off-site parking near the venue. Buyers should be aware of add-on costs, including having to pay 20%-30% of the total ticket price in fees.
StubHub International
Another well-established ticket service, StubHub allow you to buy resale tickets for events across the globe. As with Viagogo, sellers can price tickets as they choose, but usefully the website lets you view the face value cost of each ticket so you can compare it against the asking price. Tickets can be delivered physically, as print-at-home, or directly to your smartphone as e-tickets. When we searched for availability, we found similar prices to Viagogo, starting at around $76 for concerts in Mexico City in November and substantially higher for dates as you edge closer to the end of the year. Additional fees for service, delivery and VAT tended to be around $100 per ticket, but to avoid getting caught out, there’s a slider that lets you see the full cost before booking. StubHub also include a FanProtect Guarantee scheme with every purchase that helps you secure a refund if anything goes wrong with your tickets.
