Those who aren’t set on a specific resort can score huge discounts on a Deal of Fortune, a mystery hotel available to book at up to 65% off. We did find that their low prices were sometimes due to packages with budget airlines that charge additional fees, so it’s best to calculate those costs before booking to make sure you get the biggest savings.
Expedia
Expedia offers the biggest savings on last minute vacation deals to Riviera Maya. Their last minute travel bundles came in around $300 cheaper than their competitors, and often included additional bonuses like spa and resort credits. Even when booking with short notice, Expedia has Deals of the Day and Unreal Deals, allowing travelers to save on the cost of the flight or get a night free at a hotel. Expedia’s bookings generally include free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, as well as 24/7-customer service to assist with any itinerary questions.
Apple Vacations
Those booking trips well in advance will find plenty of options through Apple Vacations. Their prices were comparable to other sites and they’ll price match a package found on another site. Apple Vacations’ package pricing includes on-site customer service representatives, as well as round trip airport transfers, to sweeten the deal. They do survey verified guests to generate a star review, but also display TripAdvisor’s more unverified reviews, so we recommend doing a bit of additional research before booking.
